LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapy San Francisco

Looking for a LGBTQ+ Affirmative Therapist in San Francisco, Mill Valley, Berkeley, Oakland, Walnut Creek, or Palo Alto?

LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy is designed to support and affirm the identities, experiences, and needs of LGBTQ+ individuals. This type of therapy is grounded in respect, acceptance, and empowerment, recognizing the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ clients while promoting well-being and self-acceptance. LGBTQ+ affirmative therapy acknowledges and validates the client's sexual orientation, gender identity, and related experiences. It emphasizes the importance of respecting and affirming each client’s unique identity. Affirmative therapy recognizes and addresses the intersection of LGBTQ+ identities with other aspects of the client’s identity, such as race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, and disability. This approach ensures a comprehensive understanding of the client’s experiences and challenges.

It is my goal to provide a safe space for clients to bring all aspects of their identities. I passionately believe that all people are deserving of healthy relationships and healthy sex lives, should they want that for themselves. I am interested in discussions about sexuality, and am honored to support clients in exploring aspects of their identity.

If you are looking to explore your sexuality or gender, or get support in other areas while receiving identity affirming care, please reach out for a consultation. I would love to learn more about you and your hopes for therapy.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do. Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
